Frequently Asked Questions

Everything businesses ask us about dry ice — formats, supply, storage, transport and safety.

What is dry ice?

Dry ice is the solid form of carbon dioxide (CO₂). It is extremely cold and sublimates — changing directly from solid to gas — without leaving any liquid behind.

What temperature is dry ice?

Dry ice is approximately −78.5°C, far colder than regular ice, which is why it must always be handled with insulated gloves.

What dry ice formats are available?

We supply blocks, pellets, slices, crushed dry ice and custom formats. Availability depends on current production — contact us to confirm.

Do you supply dry ice in bulk?

Yes. Bulk and recurring B2B supply is our core business. Share your quantity and schedule for a quotation.

Can dry ice be delivered?

We coordinate business deliveries based on your location, quantity and current availability. Customer pickup can also be arranged.

Which areas do you serve?

We are based in New Delhi and serve businesses across Delhi NCR and nearby regions. Contact us with your location to confirm delivery options.

How should dry ice be stored?

In an insulated but not airtight container, kept in a well-ventilated area away from children and untrained persons. Never store it in a sealed vessel — sublimating gas builds pressure.

Can dry ice be kept in a freezer?

No. A domestic freezer is much warmer than dry ice, so it does not slow sublimation, and the confined space can accumulate carbon dioxide gas.

Can dry ice be transported in a car?

Only with proper ventilation. Never carry dry ice in a sealed passenger compartment — keep windows ventilated and the container secured, ideally away from occupants.

Is dry ice suitable for food?

Dry ice is widely used to keep food frozen during transport and storage. It should not remain in prolonged direct contact with unpackaged food, and storage areas must be ventilated.

How long does dry ice last?

It depends on the quantity, insulation, ambient temperature and how often the container is opened. As a general principle, more dry ice in better insulation lasts longer — our team can help you plan quantities for your use.

Do you supply dry ice for laboratories?

Yes — laboratories and research facilities use our dry ice for sample handling, transport and controlled cooling, including recurring standing orders.

Do you supply dry ice for cold-chain shipping?

Yes. Cold-chain and temperature-controlled shipping is one of our main applications, from single consignments to recurring dispatch schedules.

Can I request recurring delivery?

Yes. Tell us your expected schedule and quantities and we will confirm a recurring supply arrangement.

How can I receive a quotation?

Use the Request a Quote form, call us, or send a WhatsApp message with your quantity, format, application and delivery location. Our team will respond with availability and pricing.

Is dry ice dangerous?

Dry ice is safe when handled correctly, but it can cause severe cold burns on skin contact and releases carbon dioxide gas as it sublimates. Ventilation, insulated gloves and correct storage are essential.

What protective equipment is required?

At minimum: insulated gloves, protective eyewear, long sleeves and closed footwear. Use tongs or a scoop where appropriate and never handle dry ice with bare hands.
