Dry Ice Manufacturing and Supply
Commercial dry ice solutions for cooling, preservation, shipping, laboratory use, industrial cleaning and specialised applications.
What Is Dry Ice?
Dry ice is the solid form of carbon dioxide (CO₂). It is extremely cold and changes directly from solid to gas — a process called sublimation — without leaving liquid water behind. That combination of deep cold and zero residue makes it the standard choice for cold-chain shipping, laboratory work and residue-sensitive industrial applications.
- Approximate temperature: −78.5°C
- Leaves no liquid residue
- Suitable for specialised cooling
- Requires careful handling and ventilation
Choose the Format That Fits Your Application
Exact dimensions and weights vary with production — consult our team to confirm specifications for your order.
Dry Ice Blocks
- Appearance:
- Dense, solid blocks of compressed carbon dioxide.
- Common application:
- Longer-duration cooling for cold-chain shipping, storage backup and bulk transport.
- Recommended for:
- Logistics operators, food processors and businesses needing sustained cooling.
- Packaging:
- Supplied in insulated containers or bulk packaging as agreed at the time of order.
Dry Ice Pellets
- Appearance:
- Small cylindrical pellets that pack closely around products.
- Common application:
- Dry-ice blasting, laboratory sample transport, pharmaceutical shipping and rapid chilling.
- Recommended for:
- Cleaning contractors, laboratories, pharma logistics and biotech teams.
- Packaging:
- Insulated boxes or bulk containers depending on quantity and application.
Dry Ice Slices
- Appearance:
- Flat slabs that sit neatly above or below packed products.
- Common application:
- Layered packing in shipping cartons, catering trays and product display cooling.
- Recommended for:
- Food and beverage businesses, caterers and retail distributors.
- Packaging:
- Insulated cartons sized to the shipment; discuss layering with our team.
Crushed Dry Ice
- Appearance:
- Irregular crushed pieces that fill gaps around irregular items.
- Common application:
- Rapid chilling, presentation effects where safe and short-duration cooling needs.
- Recommended for:
- Caterers, event professionals and short-haul cold transport.
- Packaging:
- Insulated containers; smaller pieces sublimate faster, so plan timing carefully.
Custom Dry Ice Requirements
- Appearance:
- Formats and quantities prepared around your specific application.
- Common application:
- Recurring supply contracts, unusual quantities and application-specific formats.
- Recommended for:
- Businesses with specialised, recurring or high-volume requirements.
- Packaging:
- Agreed per requirement — share your application and our team will advise.
Dry Ice Applications
Food Preservation
Keeps chilled and frozen products at temperature during storage gaps and service.
Frozen-Product Shipping
Deep-cold packing inside insulated cartons for transit.
Pharmaceutical Logistics
Deep-frozen shipment support inside qualified packaging.
Biological Sample Transport
Frozen transport for samples, reagents and research materials.
Laboratory Cooling
Cold traps, chilling baths and bench-side deep cooling.
Emergency Refrigeration
Backup cooling during freezer or reefer failures.
Industrial Cooling
Spot and process cooling where water is unacceptable.
Dry-Ice Blasting

Special Effects
Vapour effects for events — only where legally and safely applicable.
Shrink Fitting & Manufacturing
Contracting components for interference fits and process control.
Safety note: every specialised application — blasting, special effects, enclosed-space cooling and shrink fitting — requires trained handling, ventilation and an application-specific safety assessment. See our safety guidelines.
Which Format Should You Order?
Typical guidance only — durations and quantities depend on packaging, ambient temperature and handling. Consult our team for your specific case.
| Format | Suitable Application | Typical Duration | Handling Requirement | Packaging Type | Enquire |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Blocks | Long-duration shipping, storage backup | Longest of all formats — consult our team | Insulated gloves; heavy pieces need two-person lifts | Insulated chests, bulk containers | Enquire → |
| Pellets | Blasting, lab transport, pharma shipping | Shorter than blocks — consult our team | Insulated gloves and scoop | Insulated boxes, bulk bags | Enquire → |
| Slices | Layered carton packing, catering | Moderate — consult our team | Insulated gloves | Insulated cartons | Enquire → |
| Crushed | Rapid chilling, gap filling | Shortest — plan timing carefully | Insulated gloves and scoop | Insulated containers | Enquire → |
| Custom | Recurring and specialised requirements | Depends on format — consult our team | Application-specific guidance provided | Agreed per requirement | Enquire → |
